About the Film
When Lucas discovers that Empire Records, the local record store where he works, is about to be sold to a conglomerate record store chain, he and his young and independent cohorts join forces to save it. Joe, the manager, believes in the young employees, offering up fatherly advice to his minions. Their mission is made more difficult due to the challenges and conflicts going on in their own individual lives.
