Heat

A gang of thieves led by expert criminal Neal McCauley (Robert De Niro) successfully pull a string of robberies on banks, vaults, and armored cars. One heist goes bad and an armored-car guard is hit by gunfire and dies. LAPD homicide detective Vince Hanna (Al Pacino) vows to bring the thieves down. In the midst of the cat and mouse game between criminal and cop, Neil breaks his own rule and falls in love, losing the edge that has always allowed him to cut bait and run.
