South Central

After a ten year stretch in jail for a gang murder, Bobby has reformed, eager to break the cycle of violence being perpetuated on the streets. When he returns to his neighborhood, he finds his girlfriend Carole working as a prostitute to supply her drug habit, and his son Jimmy, now 10 years old, already involved in the gang "Deuces" as a junior member and protégé of the gang leader who ordered the murder Bobby was convicted of. Fighting to show his son a new path out of gang life, Bobby tries to break the cycle of violence that threatens the youth of SOUTH CENTRAL.

SOUTH CENTRAL is based on L.A. Schoolteacher Donald Baker’s novel Crips.
