New Regency Signs Multi-year Deal With Gore Verbinski’s Blind Wink
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 4, 2014) New Regency and Gore Verbinski’s Blind Wink have finalized a three-year deal in which Academy Award®-winner Verbinski will produce and direct films for New Regency, it was announced today by Brad Weston, New Regency president and CEO.
New Regency and Blind Wink are already in development on two projects planned to shoot, with the first intended for a summer start.
“I am really looking forward to this creative partnership with New Regency. I have tremendous respect for Arnon Milchan and the team he has put together under Brad Weston,” said Verbinski.
“Teaming with great talent is where it all begins," said Weston. "From there, all of the other elements for success fall into place. With Gore, we have a brilliant, creative mind who is passionate about the material and who we are incredibly proud to call our partner."
New Regency’s partnership with Blind Wink marks yet another powerful production pact for the company. Previously announced deals include multi-year, multi-film deals with Plan B Entertainment and Darren Aronofsky¹s Protozoa Films. The company is currently in post-production on David Fincher’s eagerly anticipated adaptation of the best-selling novel GONE GIRL (with 20th Century Fox); and with Alejandro González Iñárritu on the dark comedy BIRDMAN (with Fox Searchlight). Aronofsky's NOAH for New Regency and Paramount will be released March 28.
